Washing Bingo

A free song to download from Action Aid

I'm Every Woman (cover of Chaka Khan classic) is a free music track to download at Action Aid website.
Action Aid is a UK charity that fights the causes of poverty and this song is part of a 6 degree campaign connecting women in the UK with women living in poverty around the world.

Functional Skills


Teachers TV has a 20 minute film explaining the new Functional Skills(Numeracy,Literacy and ICT) which will be with us by 2010.The programme is an introduction rather than a detailed analysis.

The Adapted Learning website has a very good introduction to using Boardmaker. The recorded web broadcast is 45 minutes.

There are also advanced tutorials. The tutorial can be found in the News and Views section and then by selecting the Getting started.

E-democracy and Citizenship symbols




Clip art for e- democracy is available at Inspiredservices website . Register for free use. I hope to be able to use these with my students with a learning disability in my Citizenship sessions.



The site also have clip art with sound but these are a bit more complicated to use.

  • Save on computer
  • Upload to a file-sharing site . Mine are at 4 shared where I have a free account
  • Code for embedding is given to you on the 4 shared site.
  • Copy this into the main body of your new post and save.
  • The sound linked icon will appear.

This is the limit of my skills . I would like to put into Moodle but don't know how to do it!

Autism awareness

Sim-dis from Techdis.ac.uk is a web site which simulates various aspects of disability including autism, vision impairment and dyslexia .
The section on Autism covers:
